Clothing sizes in the United States are different than those in most other countries. If you are a visitor from another country shopping for clothes in the USA, it might be useful to know these differences. Note: Because of the discrepancies between sizing systems and the differences between manufacturers, it is not a good idea to buy clothes based solely on these conversions. Buyers should always compare to these measurements prior to purchasing clothing items and shoes.
About Measurements
Bust - underarm seam to seam & doubled.
Waist - at the narrowest point of the waist & doubled.
Hip - at the widest hip area & doubled.
Length - from the shoulder seam to the hem.
Sleeve - from the shoulder seam to end.
